BEADED SLIP JOINT

 

DESCRIPTION:
Galvanized steel sleeve inserted inside the pipe at both ends.

APPLICATIONS:
Most used and less costly method for commercial installations.

LOW PRESSURE:
Insert sleeve inside duct end, fasten with sheet metal screws. Seal with adhesive tape (aluminum, PVC or duct tape). -alternative method:
Spread sealant on outside of sleeve and on inside of duct, insert sleeve and fasten with sheet metal screws every 8 to 12 inches min.

HIGH PRESSURE:
Insert sleeve inside duct end, fasten with sheet metal screws. Apply duct sealant with brush and embed fiberglass mesh tape in sealant. Follow duct sealant manufacturer's instructions.
