Flat oval spiral pipe is fabricated from round spiral pipe and thus has basically the same caracteristics. However, flat oval ducting has been designed for installation in space restricted areas. (for example: low ceilings.) Compared to rectangular ducting, flat oval ducting offers less air resistance because of the round sides and has more rigidity and less vibration because of the 4 ply lockseam.
